Does anyone know a good cleansing diet for a fatty liver?
Posted in Diet & Fitness on 05/14/2008 12:00 am by adminMy friend’s daughter was diagnosed with a fatty liver. She is overweight and we are working on that with diet and exercise but I have read that cleansing diets are very helpful but would like to find one that doesn’t require me forking out lots of money for supplements that I have no idea what they actually contain.
Although there are so many advertisement for liver cleansing and liver detox, I really doubt if they work as marvellously as they claim to. I hope people can help to give me some suggestions that have been tried and tested.

Fatty liver actually comes from overeating sugar and carbs. Cut those out and focus on organic vegetables, fruits and whole grains in moderation. Search for a Liver Cleanse that uses olive oil, epsom salt, and grapefruit on the internet. I did this 6 months ago and cleared up acne and improved my liver condition and overall health dramatically.

get her on breakfast asap! start her on a bowl of total raisin bran mininum, even go for two. have her snack on nothing but fruits and raw vegetables. avoid heavy starch meals at dinner. try and get her out of the habit of snacking at night ( my weakness that I still struggle with. I try to keep it to drinks and fruit) any ceral is great to snack on. real cereal not coca crappies!

Milk Thistle is meant to be good for liver problems. It may be worth trying it alongside the diet and exercise.
If your Doctor has given you any medication, check before using the two together though - they may not mix.
